I believe a successful design is one that
is driven by client and site. My designs aim to:
- Reflect the client's personality,
incorporating personal touches
- Work on a practical level
- Look beautiful
- Sit comfortably with the house and its situation
- Minimise the impact on the environment
- Consider the local, and increasingly scarce, availability
of water
- Ensure the maintenance required is appropriate
for each client.
All this is achieved through making the right choice of plants
and materials and how they are placed within the garden.
