A sensory garden

This sensory garden was designed for a primary school to replace the existing planting outside a classroom.

Designed to appeal to all the senses, the plants were chosen for their visual qualities, texture, scent, taste and sound. Soft grasses, velvety lamb's ears, fleshy Sedum, chives, mint and lavender are among the plants. Children are encouraged to touch, look, sniff and taste!
